If by that you mean continents/regions, the world is broken up into Ascalon, Northern Shiverpeaks, Kryta, Maguuma, Crystal Desert, Southern Shiverpeaks, and Ring of Fire Islands.

If you're talking about Mission areas as well as explorable areas I lost count at 70...I think....OK, so I ran out of patience at 50 and guessed another 20.
